I've been observing and crafting user experiences for years in the corporate training and small business fields, and those skills have allowed me to smoothly transition into the UX design world. At Epic Systems, I facilitated usability studies for 6 industry-leading healthcare software applications to guide future development. I love connecting with users 1 on 1 to understand where they're at and how we can help them get where they want to be. (I'm a teacher, I can't help it 🤷)
I am fascinated by the psychology of visual design, like how the color blue invokes a sense of trust and stability while red can convey passion or danger. It adds a whole new level to the products we know and love and I learn more every day about how to make these products beautiful and a joy to use.
I'm a
multipotentialite - I've always had multiple interests and I am happiest with a healthy balance of left-brained analytical work and right-brained creativity. I view this as one of my strongest traits because I adapt quickly to new situations and make an impact in a role early on.
I grew up near Atlanta, GA and earned my Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and Clarinet Performance from the University of South Carolina. I have since moved to Minneapolis, MN to live near family and uncover my true passion for Minnesota Vikings football.
I currently work for
Tempus Technologies as a Senior Content Designer. When I'm not working, I'm usually reading, baking, learning piano, or running my
Etsy shop.
